Chocolate Covered Banana Bites (Print version)

Frozen banana slices dipped in rich chocolate and finished with your favorite toppings for a sweet treat.

# What you need:

→ Fruit

01 - 2 large ripe bananas

→ Chocolate Coating

02 - 7 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped or in chips
03 - 1 tbsp coconut oil

→ Optional Toppings

04 - 2 tbsp chopped nuts, such as almonds, peanuts, or pistachios
05 - 2 tbsp shredded coconut
06 - 2 tbsp sprinkles
07 - 1 tbsp sea salt flakes

# Directions:

01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Peel the bananas and slice them into 1/2 inch thick rounds. Arrange them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
03 - Freeze the banana slices for at least 30 minutes until firm.
04 - Melt the chocolate with the coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring between each, or use a double boiler until smooth.
05 - Using a fork or toothpick, dip each frozen banana slice into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
06 - Place the chocolate-covered banana bites back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
07 - Immediately sprinkle with your choice of toppings before the chocolate sets.
08 - Return the tray to the freezer for at least 15 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully set.
09 - Serve immediately from frozen, or store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
